Redline-Performance's Mazda Protege!
Redline Performance, owned by Mike Porter, came to RLR with this Protege project, funded by Mazda USA. The car came into RLR with 51 miles on the odometer, and it was completely disassembled. The car is being built to run the "Quick" class, or the same class that you will find Lisa Kubo and JoJo Callos running. Power for this creation is based off the Mazda 2.0l motor, turbo-charged of course, with the addition of nitrous oxide in the near future. Look for the debut of this car at the NHRA-Import Finals, presented by Mazda, at the Pomona Fairplex on September 29th & 30th. And yes, it is a 4-door, so this will be the fastest front wheel drive 4-door in drag racing history! For close up pics, click on each image above. Be sure to check back for updated pics as the project progresses.

Sheng Chao, owner of JDM Honda Parts, brought his All-Motor Acura Integra to RLR for a complete tube-chassis rear suspension and rear aluminum work. After a few modifications to the roll-cage that was previously installed, Sheng's car was equiped with light-weight control arms in the rear and light-weight RLR Disc Brakes on all four corners. A complete rear interior was then installed, which is easily removable via Dzus fasteners. For close up pics, click on each image above.
